This quest follows immediately after What Lies Below the Surface, where Leiandros revealed the truth about his fake Minotaur act and begged for help to rescue his kidnapped daughter. It is the turning point of his story, set against the backdrop of a dangerous fortress in Messara.

📍 Location: Zakros’ Stronghold (sometimes called Zakros’ Understand)

Situated in Messara, Zakros’ Stronghold is a fortified hideout controlled by bandits and guards allied with the Cult of Kosmos.

The stronghold is heavily defended, with archers on the walls, guards patrolling the gates, and hostages held within.

It’s a dangerous place, but also one of the most rewarding strongholds to clear — both for loot and for story progression.

🗡 Beginning the Rescue

Leiandros, now stripped of his Minotaur disguise, accompanies me to Zakros’ Stronghold.

He cannot fight like a hero, but he makes up for it with courage: he distracts the guards at the entrance, creating the perfect opening for me to slip inside.

It was risky, but it showed his heart — a father finally standing up for what matters.

⚔ Battle at Zakros’ Stronghold

Once inside, I unleashed a full assault on the bandits and guards.

Using stealth and skill, I cut down the sentries on the walls, then clashed with heavily armed warriors in the courtyards.

The fight was intense, but with every strike, the path to Leiandros’ daughter grew clearer.
