To prove it, I took my son on a mission to find a dark sky campsite on Missouri's legendary Gladetop Trail.

This wasn't just a simple camping trip; it was a test. A test of my lifted AWD Toyota Sienna, a test of my driving, and a test of our nerve. The goal was simple: find a remote spot in the Mark Twain National Forest, set up my son's new telescope, and camp under the stars. But the trail had other plans. We faced washed-out roads, rocky climbs, and moments where we had to decide if it was safe to push forward or smart to turn back.
