Join me on an amazing adventure to Purakhasi village in the Garo Hills of Meghalaya! In this video, I dive into Garo culture by exploring their traditional cuisine and cooking methods. From aromatic spices and wild mountain vegetables to hearty local dishes, every bite tells a story of the hills. The warm hospitality of the villagers made the experience unforgettable as I learned to cook side-by-side with them in a rustic kitchen.

The flavors of Garo cuisine blew me away – think spicy bamboo stew, fermented fish soup, and sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves. It was fascinating to see how these simple, fresh ingredients turned into such delicious meals. I loved chatting with the locals and learning the secrets behind their recipes. (By the end, my mouth was full and my heart was happy!)

And then came the funniest moment: the friendly villagers jokingly suggested that I should marry a Garo girl and stay in the hills forever! 😂 It was a surprise “proposal” that had us all laughing. It really showed how welcoming and playful the community is. Who knows – maybe this is the start of a new love story in the Garo Hills!
