Today Advocate Tahir Mahmood Qadri while addressing the media highlighted a significant issue concerning District hospital poonch.He stated that our poor and underprivileged citizens who are unable to afford private health care facilities are compelled to seek treatment at government hospital.unfortunately they face severe misconduct from doctors and other staff including nurses and support personnel who behave in an unprofessional and insensitive manner.these patients are often denied necessary medicines and medical check ups are conducted in a very incomplete and negligent way.furthermore the sanitation system of the hospital is in a deplorable state.for instance at paediatric ward there is no proper bathroom facilities and if a patient or attendent needs to use the bathroom they are forced to go all the way to the ground floor.there is severe shortage of doctors especially eye specialist, skin specialist, cardiologist, no staff member to operate the ventilator due to this negligence a woman endured extreme suffering and ultimately succumbed to death in District hospital poonch.The rogi kalyan samiti which has the responsibility to ensure patients welfare ha failed to address these critical issues. As a result the poor and vulnerable population faces continuous hardship in accessing proper medical care. Adv Tahir Mahmood has called upon all youth , social worker and responsible citizens to unite their collective voices and exert pressure on the concerned authorities. Advocate has urged all patients that if they experience any kind of misbehaviour, medical negligence or rights violations by doctors, hospital staff they should immediately approach the District Legal service Authority Poonch. All affected individuals will be provided with free of cost legal assistance so that their cases can be fought in court without any financial burden and also request all youth , social worker to encourage people to benefit from this service so their grievance can be properly addressed in the appropriate legal forum.
