Episode 26: Confessions of a Leader – Funding Wins, AI in HR & Reflecting on the Youth of Today

This episode starts with the school run before a quick stop at Greggs for breakfast – fuel for a busy day ahead. First up, a finance meeting where we secured funding for a client – a big win! Then it was onto emails and a key session with an HR AI expert, exploring how we’ll integrate AI into the HR function across the Apollo Group.

Next, I delivered the BNI education slot presentation before diving into a series of meetings, including dealing with serious complaints that required my attention. We also submitted tenders and had an exciting meeting about our upcoming charity fundraising show for Bowel Cancer UK featuring Double Trouble’s Elvis act.

The day ended with a walk with the dog and a thoughtful reflection on the youth of today the challenges they face and the potential they hold.
