For my fellow 2016 to 2022 Honda HR-V friends and followers (including Honda Vezel owners), here's how I do spark plugs if you want to learn or are curious how it's done if you need to replace yours or if your mechanic advised you you need a new set.
It's relatively easy and a good task to take on to keep building on your DIY skills and confidence. In Canada, labour costs for automotive repair is extremely expensive now in a time when the cost of living is through the roof.
I like to replace mine every 80,000 to 100,000 kilometres. The owner's manual I recall says you can go to 176,000km, but that is way too long IMO and you run the risk of the spark plug threads seizing to the cylinder head.
