Following a recent visit to Pakistan by a Bangladeshi military delegation, reports have emerged that Pakistan has sent four senior officials from its intelligence spy agency, ISI, led by its chief, Asim Malik to Bangladesh. This marks the first visit of its kind on Bangladeshi soil since 1971. This high-profile visit is reportedly part of efforts to build an intelligence-sharing network between the two countries.
In December last year, Bangladesh Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus and Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met in Cairo on the margins of D-8 Summit.
This deepening relationship between the two neighbouring countries has raised concerns in India. India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has taken note of the situation, with Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal assuring that it is being closely monitored. He emphasized that the government remains vigilant about regional developments and will take the necessary measures to protect national security.
From the standpoint of India's national security, what lies ahead?
