disagreeing with my dad: the rift gen x & gen z face today

This weekend, my dad and I had a conversation that turned into something much deeper—a moment of truth, pain, love, and generational tension.

In this video, I talk about the conversation we had—how he expressed concern, disappointment, and fear about the way I’ve chosen to live my life these past couple years: chasing a dream, not having consistent income, and wrestling with mental and emotional struggles.

It hurt. A lot.
But I’m also grateful—because he finally said out loud what I’ve felt in the silence for so long.

I love my dad. I know he wants what’s best for me. But what happens when what he feels is best for is not what I feel is best for me?

This is the question I explore in this video.
