The Vintage Cartridge That Changed My Mind! | Shure V15 Type IV

🎶 Have you ever had a piece of gear completely change your perspective? That just happened to me with the Shure V15 Type IV phono cartridge, and I wasn’t expecting it at all.

I’ve always been in the "new cartridge, new stylus" camp—no compromises when it comes to my turntable setup. But after picking up an incredible vintage record collection, I decided to try something different. I mounted the Shure V15 Type IV on a Technics turntable, and… wow. The sound was dynamic, punchy, and shockingly quiet—it even went head-to-head with my beloved Denon DL-103 moving coil cartridge!
