How to Sous Vide (with easy asparagus recipe)

SOUS VIDE ASPARAGUS
INGREDIENTS
1 bunch of asparagus
Olive oil for drizzling
lemon wedges for drizzling
salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
Using a sous vide wand or machine, heat water to 180 degrees.
1. Wash asparagus
2. Cut off tough ends
3. Using a vegetable peeler, peel outer layer of the stalks (optional, but recommended)
4. Place asparagus in a ziplock bag or vacuum sealed bag.
5. Immerse in water bath, cook for 10 minutes.
6. Remove from water bath, place on a platter and season with olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
Notes:
Use a few spoons inside the bag to weigh the asparagus down, it needs to be fully immersed. Alternatively, you can place something heavy on top of it to weigh it down.
