Last Sunday at the shop Doug and several friends did some experimental hydraulic pressing. After heating in the forge, a 3/4 inch piece of solid round bar was pressed in the 40 ton press, then a 2 inch diameter cylinder and a 1.25 inch piece of square bar were pressed in the 100 ton press.
