For Iona's 51st parkrun we visited Northampton parkrun.
Our parkrun tourism adventures continued at Northampton "Racecourse" which felt very like our home parkrun of Coventry, wide, mostly flat tarmac paths. Iona was very excited by the plethora of playgrounds dotted round the route. After we enjoyed a superb breakfast at the "Good Loaf" cafe, which not only provides delicious food including bread from its on site bakery but also it's a social business, providing real employment opportunities to vulnerable local women, breaking the cycle of poverty, unemployment and offending.
