EPIC HIKE IN THE CONGO BASIN FLOODWATERS

This is a video of a walk that a group of Equatorial Rainforest Guides (including myself) took in the floodwaters of a Congo Forest Mosaic, including gallery forest, bais or salines and savannas. It has running commentary of some of the wildlife encountered and with some insight into what can be encountered in these forests. It is intentionally left relatively unabridged to give a full impression of the rigours of walking under such conditions. The viewer can, of course, choose to fast forward through some parts of the video as he or she sees fit. Typically in these forests animals such as forest elephant, dwarf or forest buffalo, bongo, bushbuck, red river hog, giant forest hog, giant pangolin and apes such as chimpanzee and gorilla can be encountered. Not to mention the diverse bird life and many reptiles.
