Peru in Crisis: President Dina Boluarte Impeached

In a dramatic late-night move, Peru’s Congress has impeached President Dina Boluarte on grounds of moral incapacity. Within hours, José Jeri was sworn in as the new president. Boluarte, facing multiple corruption allegations and criticism for her use of force against protesters, refused to appear before Congress.
