Suffering Suffrage (What they don't want you to see)

Script:

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy and President Barack Obama, are vacationing on a private island somewhere in Bora Bora, when a bottle washes up on the shore. When they uncork the bottle, a genie appears and offers three wishes. One to each of them.

The genie not being well versed on the "Rules of Etiquette" insists that Kevin have the first wish. After a moment of indecision, Kevin demands that all the members of both the House and Senate be made republican. The genie snaps his fingers, and Kevin suddenly finds himself standing on the floor of the House surrounded by nothing but fellow republicans.

Nancy, in an act of self-preservation, insists that she is entitled to the inverse of Kevin’s wish. The genie snaps his fingers, and as with Kevin, Nancy finds herself on the House floor; every seat occupied by a like-minded Democrat.

Barack immediately realizes the profound effects both Kevin and Nancy’s wishes would have on both the republican and democratic parties, should either wish be permitted; and vowed to have no part of it! Barack prayed that his, the third and final wish, be to rescind and deny both Nancy and Kevin’s wishes respectively. For the third and final time the genie snaps his fingers, and reinstates the status quo.

The genie is stupefied by Barack’s choice of wishes and asks him: Could it be that you are willing to endure gridlock, partisan name-calling and finger pointing rather than exploit an unfair advantage?

Overwhelmed by what had almost happened, Barack hastily answered. ADVANTAGE? HECK NO! Without the other neither of us would have anyone to blame for the deplorable condition of the nation. The American people might wake up, stop arguing with one-another and see us both for the fear mongering parasites’ that we have become.

I see no advantage in that!
