DAILY BLUES LICK 237 & WEEKLY BLUES RHYTHM 038
"Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out" is a blues standard written by Jimmy Cox in 1923. Eric Clapton recorded the song with Derek and the Dominos in 1970 and, later in 1992, played another rendition for the MTV Unplugged. The song is in the key of C major.
This intro is a tasty licks sequence centered around the 4th and 1st Box of the Pentatonic minor in the key of C with an added major 3rd.
I played it through a TS9 overdrive and a Fender Twin Reverb amp. Reverb and a bit of compression come from Cubase plugins.
I hope you all enjoy it!
