Professional Aquaculture Training: Beyond the Basics for Businesses and Practitioners

Rhode Island Sea Grant’s popular Professional Aquaculture Training Course is gearing up for its second year—and registration is now OPEN!

Taught by Sea Grant specialists Azure Cygler and Rob Hudson, alongside a wide range of guest speakers, this 12-week course is designed for aspiring and current shellfish growers, entrepreneurs, and anyone interested in aquaculture in Rhode Island and beyond.

• Meets Tuesday evenings
• Begins January 20
• Breaks for February and April school vacations and URI’s spring break

📍 Flexible participation options
Students may attend:
• Online
• In person at the URI Bay Campus
• Or a hybrid of both
