Special Fundraising Concert Held For Elderly Couple That Lost Everything In Sand Fire

Months since the devastating Sand Fire in Santa Clarita…many fire victims are still a long way from recovery. Tonight, a special fundraising concert for a well known couple, who lost everything.

A benefit concert to raise money for an elderly couple who lost everything during the Sand Fire over the summer...

Jan Sanborn: "We never thought it would happen to us.."

Jan Sanborn, a world renowned pianist and her husband, a legendary Hollywood stuntman lost their home, their clothes, memorabilia and so much more when they just had minutes to evacuate as a wildfire scorched their canyon country home in July…They had built their home from the ground up... even got married there...

Jan Sanborn: “When it happened its like you are in some sort of a movie that isn’t real..."

Four months later they are trying to rebuild their lives with the help from their friends and church...

Pastor Bill Barnes: "Whatever they need.. the money is really a token gesture to let her know that she doesnt walk alone.."

Sanborn's husband suffers from Alzheimer's and since they lost their house he is now in a home to get better care, meanwhile, Sanborn says the support from family, friends and the entire community has been overwhelming...

Jan Sanborn: "Its never easy to start over you don’t even know where to start but the people who have come to around us and supported us and affirmed us have been just amazing. Absolutely miraculous.
