Highlights of the 2024 Africa Prize | Royal Academy of Engineering

On 13 June 2024 in Nairobi, Kenya, four finalists pitched their innovations to a panel of judges at the Africa Prize Final, marking its 10th anniversary.

Esther Kimani from Kenya, was announced as the eventual winner. Esther is the third woman to win the Prize and received a cash prize of £50,000, to mark the special occasion. The remaining three finalists each took home £10,000 each. The audience were also invited to vote for their favourite shortlist pitch to win the ‘One to Watch’ Award.
