Surat: 30 kilometers from Surat and 6 km from Olpad taluka, there is a unique glory of Siddhanath Mahadev in a nice village. Siddhanath Mahadeva accomplishes the devotion of devotees. Thousands of devotees of Shiva worshiped in the month of Shravan to see Siddhnath Mahadev
Thousands of people go for a pedestrian for up to 27 km. A huge influx of devotees has been seen in the Siddhanath Mahadev Temple in the beautiful village of Surat, which is considered the holy place of Hindus. Thousands of people are seen walking for up to 27 km from the city, especially in the Shravan month. On Sunday night, people go on foot and worship the Tapi or Narmada river on Monday morning.
Since there is a Sunday holiday, special devotees are going to Darshan at Siddhanath Temple. Different legends are associated with the history of Siddhanath Mahadev temple. It is said that there was a monastery of Gokarna Rishi in this seaside area. The animals of the monastery used to come to this place to graze.But from a herd of cows, a cow was standing on an isolated hill and milk flowed from her lap. The Gopalakas saw this scene and they reported this to Gokarna Rishi and if Gokarna Rishi saw with his own heart, there was shivling in the ground. Then the Gokarna Rishi performed penance on this place and with his penance the Shivling came out of the ground and Mahadev was identified by the name of Siddhanath Mahadev.
Even today, holes are found in the Shivling, which is broken by the Lunaru. Another legend is that during the reign of Raja Maharaj, the kings were hiding the treasure of their kingdom in the Shiva temple with the harassment of the robbers. Hence, years ago, robbers caught sight of the Siddhanath Mahadev Temple. In this temple of Gaikwad, the robbers ran a robbery in the temple, believing that there was a large amount of treasure under Shivling.
While trying to break my shiva at the wounds of hammers and axes on the Shivling, numerous beetles came out from the holes lying in the Shivling and the robbers fled to save the lives of the robbers who started to poison the robbers. Even today, holes are found in the Shivling fused by this lanturu. Even today, naturally salt water is flowing from Shivling.
However, salt water is still flowing naturally from Shivling. Locals consider it Gangesi. It is not only from Surat but also for the Darshan of this temple, Shiva is worshiped by Lord Shiva. In this way, Bholanath blesses Bhola devotees even if they remember with their heart. At that time Siddhanath Mahadev of Allpad also proved his belief in devotees for years.
