Completing My Double Bespoke Commission | Final Fitting & Delivery at Henry Poole | Kirby Allison

After months of meticulous fittings, I return to Henry Poole on Savile Row to take delivery of my latest commissions: a dark grey Prince of Wales check suit and a remarkably lightweight Pool check suit, weighing in at just 6.5oz.

The former is an instant classic—a true city suit destined to become a staple in my wardrobe. The latter? Almost impossibly light, it feels like slipping into a cloud.

As always, it’s the details that set Henry Poole apart—from the hand-sewn buttonholes to the house’s iconic Pool green lining, thoughtfully discussed with Simon and Tristan during the final fitting. This is bespoke at its finest—clothing that only improves with time during what I like to call the "blessing period."

These two foundational garments embody everything I love about the Savile Row tradition. I simply cannot wait to begin wearing them in earnest.
