Dual Blades Spiral Slash Style - Interaction with Focus and Power Prolonger | MHNow

This video looks at the interaction of the Spiral Slash style vs Focus and Power Prolonger. The Spiral Slash style for Dual Blades is introduced into the game on 10 Nov 2025.

00:00 For Focus, the incremental difference is very minimal, so I only show the difference between Focus 0 and Focus 5. Focus increases the stamina regeneration rate, not decrease the time it takes for the stamina to regenerate (different component of the equation affected).

00:07 Shows the activation cost of the Spiral Power Slash (the Spiral Slash triggered by having the Spiral Power buff received from a full Stamina gauge or from executing a Perfect Evasion) and how many Spiral Slashes you can perform with the remaining gauge (your mileage may vary; subject to actual input timing).

00:46 I wrote about my own research into the Stamina gauge and how Focus and Power Prolonger interacts with hit, and how and where Spiral Power Slash sits in these factors. Note that Stamina doesn't recover naturally while in Spiral Slash style and the amount recover varies slightly depending on the attack that landed, so I can't provide a singular number to demonstrate the interaction when recovering Stamina in Spiral Slash style. Please refer to the first segment to get an idea of how much Stamina you'd recover in the number of plain standing attacks. I've never really used Dual Blades before, so this is new knowledge to me and I'm happy to work through the mechanisms on my own to derive a congruent answer. In short, when planning Power Prolonger and Focus in your Spiral Slash build, max out Power Prolonger first.

These findings are based on v110.0-251104-1720 on Android.
