First-Ever Himalayan Pond Hockey Tournament organized by Thin Ice Adventure with the support of Royal Enfield Social Mission at Gupuk Pond, Leh. The two days landmark initiative event aims to develop hockey in Ladakh while promoting a natural, nature-friendly format of the sport, played on frozen ponds, the way nature intends it to be played. The tournament has attracted participation from 8 countries with a total of 17 teams, marking a significant moment in Ladakh’s emerging winter sports ecosystem. Beyond the competitive aspect, the event seeks to strengthen Ladakh’s identity as a winter tourism destination in India, by celebrating winter, community, and the outdoors in an authentic Himalayan setting.
