Having covered off in a number of electric and hybrid buses over the last year or so, I wanted to check out one of Sydney's last diesel bus models, a Mercedes-Benz O500LE with a Volgren Optimus body at Transit Systems.
This bus, 8080 was built in August 2020 and is one of the newest diesel Buses in the city. It's interesting to see the transition, and on balance I am excited to see electric powertrain vehicles becoming more prevalent, in both public transport fleets, and for private vehicles too.
