Here’s a full breakdown of the gear I used during my Manaslu (8,163m) expedition — from base camp to the summit.
I cover clothing, boots, technical equipment, and high-altitude essentials that kept me alive and moving in the death zone.

🧭 Extra Gear I Used or Recommend

(Not shown in the video or rented during the expedition)

• Rab sleeping bag (-40°C) – for high camp use
• Hi-Himal sleeping bag (-30°C) – ideal for base camp
• Hi-Himal down pants – warm and reliable at altitude
• Sea to Summit Ether Light Air mattress – compact & comfortable
• A couple of ice screws (optional)
• Tape sling + safety cord + prusik knot setup
• Ice axe – not used on Manaslu, but good to have depending on route
• Lightweight Black Diamond Vapor helmet
• Inflatable pillow – I usually just use my jacket
• Several screw-lock and non-lock carabiners
• Umbrella + rain poncho – a must-have for Manaslu’s unpredictable rain!
