Ace Cafe London VW Night Spring 2003 - Burnouts! Cars on Hydraulics, Bugs and Buses

Herts VW Club meet up at the petrol station at Chiswell Green, St Albans, and cruise down to the Ace Café for the monthly VW night. Lots of interesting cars, Ed Thompson's lowrider beetle "FugDub" on hydraulics is there jumping up and down and nearly catching fire when a cable burns out, the famous Cogbox Fiat 600 , some lovely bugs and buses, and a few unusual VW based cars too. Ricky James, long term committee member of the SSVC does a great job marshalling the parking. The Morley brothers are there (one of them at least). As it gets dark, people get a bit silly and start doing burnouts on the road outside the car park. Some impressive smokescreens! After this particular evening, Ace nights were a lot more tame, more's the pity.
