We are of course talking about those photographers who allowed us to discover what the real Wild West looked like, often far from cinema clichés or Western series. the American Wild West was at the time a wild and untamed American frontier. It housed rough and rowdy people. They are settlers of all origins, men, women and children, a quarter of whom were made up of black Americans, gold diggers, outlaws and of course Native Americans ... This wild Far West of the origins tirelessly continues to inspire all generations. It was a place of promise with virgin land that drove thousands and thousands of settlers west. But times were often anarchic, chaotic and above all dangerous ... Let us not forget that before the arrival of the colonists, it was of course the Amerindians who populated this land. And we know their unjust and tragic end with their land that we have stolen from them, often by force, and ultimately forcing them to settle on reservations.
