It'll do a spicy tangy two-step on your taste buds!
Lemon Pepper Wet a.k.a. Atlanta Style Buffalo Baked Tofu
2 Packages Extra Firm Tofu, each black pressed for 1 hour to remove H2O
1-2 teaspoons Mayonnaise or Plant Based Mayo (can also sub yogurt or sour cream)
Lemon Pepper Seasoning (your favorite)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Use about 1 teaspoon of mayo to coat each block of pressed tofu completely, then sprinkle lemon pepper seasoning evenly on all sides of the tofu.
Bake on middle rack for 30 minutes, then turn tofu over and bake for another 30 minutes.
Remove and let cool for at least 30 minutes.
Slice tofu into the thickness that you like- I typically slice it about 1/8” thick
Toss with your favorite hot sauce & serve as an appetizer, on top of a salad, in a sammich or eat them straight up. Enjoy!
