We went exploring in the Otay Mountains in southern San Diego County this June and got a bit of a surprise. My folks were visiting from San Diego and I wanted to take them for a mellow off-roading trip to check out the mountains. But with the wet weather, the first technical section turned out to be very muddy near the top.
