Also called Panchakoota, this tradition allows artists to earn a living, especially during the monsoon season when professional troupes are inactive, and helps preserve the cultural heritage of Yakshagana by taking it directly to individual homes.
Key Characteristics

Home-Based Performances: Troupe members visit households to perform, creating an intimate atmosphere.
Mythological Stories: Short episodes from epics and mythology are the basis of the performances.
Puja and Offerings: The performance is followed by a puja, and the family offers rice, flowers, and money as a blessing and appreciation.
Small Troupe Size: Consists of 4-5 members, including two main performers, a singer (Bhagavatha), and percussionists.
Cultural Preservation: Ensures the continuation of the Yakshagana tradition and provides a livelihood for artists during the off-season.
