Full Journey on Heathrow Express Class 387 From London Paddington To Heathrow Terminal 5

This is a special episode of the London Transport Series on my channel as we will take the Heathrow Express Class 387 service from London Paddington to Heathrow Terminal 5 via Heathrow Central (Terminal 2&3).

Heathrow Express, opened in 1988, is the fastest transport option, helping you travel between Terminals 2 & 3 and Paddington Station within 15 minutes, and 20 minutes for Terminal 5. The services operated by Class 332 and one Class 360 before 2020, which ran on the Shuttle service between Heathrow Central and Terminal 4. However, Heathrow Connect services were taken over by TFL Rail (Elizabeth Line) in May 2018; this means the original fleets have entered the retirement era. In 2019, it was announced that all the Class 332 units would be replaced by a fleet of twelve Class 387 units from Great Western Railway with GWR also managing their introduction and arrival.

Currently, Heathrow Express services are operated and linked by Great Western Railway with 12 sets of 4-car Class 387 trains (which can be linked to form 8-car trains before service) and providing service in every 15 minutes. Any passengers wishing to transfer between terminals using Heathrow Express or Elizabeth Line can use the free ticket machines to get tickets that allow travel between Terminal 5 and Heathrow Central.
