A rare 1985 Lotus Esprit S3 in UK domestic specification, as confirmed by its serial number. This right-hand drive example was imported to Japan in 1996 and has received meticulous maintenance.


Except for the replacement of the original Dellorto carburetor with a more serviceable Solex 44, it remains highly original.


The S3 features Lotus’ in-house developed 912-type 2.2L naturally aspirated engine, making it the most refined and well-balanced version of the Giugiaro-designed series.


Despite the passage of time, its original red exterior remains intact, and the tan interior, which is prone to wear due to heat retention, is still in remarkable condition, beautifully complementing the body color.


The current owner has cherished this car for the past 10 years, carrying out essential maintenance, including water pump replacement, fuel pump replacement, brake overhaul, muffler repair, and cam cover oil leak repair.
