2021-11-12 Cowlitz River Flooding - Packwood WA - High Valley 8.
The small swimming area at the public access point near the river that we all enjoyed is all gone now.
This video shows it slowly eroding as well as the small clump of trees that were near there.
The last video shows how the river is now straighter than it used to be. It used to hit the new bank wall that was built there in the summer of 2021 and then take a left to go downstream to the west. The river appears much straighter now with just a little offshoot near high valley 8. We will see as the water recedes!
