~ Work while it’s still day

There’s a sense of urgency to the topic, and God doesn’t hurry people us without seeing that something is coming

Welcome to the world of work

John 9:1-4 NIV
[1] As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. [2] His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” [3] “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. [4] As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.

There must come a time where we stop asking questions and we start doing something about the situation

Meaningful work

There’s meaningless and meaningful work spoken about in the Bible

How do you know that you are doing meaningful work?

•What is the state of your environment after your intervention?

Your intervention should move the needle to the right

Let’s Christians work again

Work always trumps prayer

•Your work must transform chaos into order

Chaos must go out the window when you intervene and order must come in

You might come from a family with no name, but through your work you can make your name great

Care

Nobody works for real if they don’t care

When a pickpocket meets a saint, all he sees it’s pockets

Care is the number one driver of working

Care is the genesis of meaningful work

We should care about our families, communities, nations, continent, world

Show me a family that cares, I will show you a family that works

Creativity

You hand is not a toy but a tool, use it

Nothing changes until we replace our muscle with brain

Work never starts with muscle it always starts with brains

Commitment

Your level of work is totally dependent on your level of commitment

It’s time for the church to get to work

We have turned work into something less than what God intended it to be

Can someone come to your house and you’re able to open without shame

You cannot bring order to the world without bringing it to your home first

-Transforming human potential into practical reality

In the process of working you should change first

Is it cleaner, nicer, peaceful because I am here

If you work for real you begin to respect money, because you know what it costs

Work changes your heaters, head, hand

•Work transforms our communities into oasis of hope

Work in God’s economy is service

Service of others to create Shalom

Every place you see chaos, God is inviting you to work
