Recorded June 22, 1935 in the Musikvereinsaal, Vienna, and in September and November 1938 in Berlin. Issued in 1939 as HMV DB 3719 through DB 3728 in Album Series No. 336. In the USA, issued in 1939 as Victor Musical Masterpiece Set M-582 (records 15506 through 15515); in slide automatic sequence as Set AM-582 (records 15516 through 15525); and, in 1940, in drop automatic sequence as Set DM-582 (records 16058 through 16067). In Nazi Germany, the sides involving only the "Aryan" Berlin forces were issued as Electrola DB 4599 through DB 4604 and DB 4606 and 4607. (at 29:58): p. 114, bar 8 to p. 115, bar 3 (9 bars, from "Von dem Ende wollt' ich" to "dass mir Rede nun mir stand")
(at 32:46): p. 118, middle of bar 11 to p. 120, middle of bar 11 (27 bars, from "Der der Liebe fluchte" to "den Verträgen bin ich nun Knecht")
(at 33:32): p. 121, middle of bar 11 to p. 122, bar 4, beat 1 (11 bars, from "Der, entgegen dem Gott" to "der im eig'nen Trotze der trauteste mir?")
(at 34:25): p. 122, bar 11, beat 2 to p. 124, last bar, beat 1 (21 bars, from "Doch der Wälsung, Siegmund?" to "zu tiefster Scham durchschaute sie mich")
(at 36:16): p. 127, bar 17 to p. 129, bar 12, beat 1 (29+ bars, from "Und für das Ende sorgt Alberich" to "der Freien, erlang' ich mir nicht")
The last of these cuts occurs between the end of Side 9 and the beginning of Side 10.
