Subfloor Install: Done Right

A high quality subfloor installation adds to the strength of the structure and comfort of the occupants (e.g no squeaks). First row sets up the rest of the install to be efficient.  Step 1) Snap a line, 2) glue 3) lay the sheets with the groove edge on the line 4) tack them to the line at each end 5) pull layout to keep your on center spacing 6) nail off the panel.  Its better to do it right than to set a land speed record.

Engineered wood I Joists (‪@roseburgforest‬ )keep the floor flat and stiff, the glue and TetraGrip (‪@PaslodeUSA‬ ) nails provide strength structurally.  Did you know that your joists span farther and the assembly is stiffer when you use glue?  It isn't required by code, but we all do it because we are interested in quality.
