Even though it’s already several days after New Year’s, I have finally made my first video of 2024! On the first weekend of January, I went to the Monterey and Salinas Valley Railroad Museum and was able to get three trains in the span of two days. Was also with my friend @ramnoxx at the time. Check out his channel for more railfanning content!
Shot 1 : Amtrak 15 #11 Coast Starlight departing a couple minutes early. The engineer gave a friendly wave right after the train started moving. Taken at 12:04 P.M.
Shot 2 : Union Pacific local reversing to the station platform. About 30 seconds later, the train departed south after flipping a track switch in order to head down the main line. Taken at 10:41 A.M.
Shots 3 : Amtrak 326 #11 Coast Starlight arriving at the Salinas Amtrak Station over two hours late. Taken at 2:18 P.M.
Shot 4 : Same train departing the station about minutes later. A Winter Park Express car made the second coach of the train.
