In July 1974 myself and a mate took the sleeper from Paddington to Penzance for the start of a day visiting the remaining branch lines of Cornwall. Returning to St Erth we travelled over the St Ives branch before heading up to Truro (for the Falmouth branch) and Liskeard (for the Looe branch). Retracing our steps we returned to Par for a trip to Newquay and back. Travelling back to Plymouth we crossed the Royal Albert Bridge. Sadly the Gunnislake branch was covered in the hours of darkness and no film record exists of that final leg.
