Gold Punch-Out!! is the limited edition first release of Punch-Out (for the Famicom) which doesn't feature the Dream Fight. So, we get to face Super Macho Man as the final boss! While the gameplay is very similar to MTPO, there are a few opponents that do have different mechanics making this game feel like a slightly different playthrough/speedrun. Here's my best time so far for single segment. I'll go back at some point for the sub 15. With a super clean run we could potentially push this to under 14 minutes (using in-game time). Played on Mesen emulator.
The Good: I got a lead early and kept it through the entire run! Solid times through the major circuit with the highlight being a 46 on King Hippo.
The Bad: World circuit was a little bumpy but not terrible. Had a minor fumble on Bald Bull 2. Nerves started kicking in towards the end and I slipped a bit on Sandman and Super Macho.
