I was getting the urge to camp, so I decided to try something new. Instead of using a tent, I opted to use a hammock and wanted to share the experience.
After settling in, I went for a small day hike along the South Fork of the Santa Ana river.
Turns out the hammock was comfortable, but my sleeping bag wasn't quite up to the task for a chilly night. 🥶
On the way home, I took a small detour and followed the Santa Ana river towards Seven Oaks to look for potential fishing spots, and wanted to also see how badly the drought has impacted Jenks Lake.
