In this episode of The Crew Diary, it’s a navigation day as we sail from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth in South Africa. The sea is a bit rough, but with not many guests on board, work at reception is pretty quiet.
I take a walk around the ship to see what’s going on, spend my break in the crew bar editing YouTube videos, enjoy some ice cream at Gelateria Amarillo, and have dinner in the crew mess before heading back to work for another 3.5 hours.
In the evening, I watch an amazing African trio performing live in the Colosseo Theatre — incredible voices and great energy! Then it’s off to the crew mess for an Indonesian thematic night with interesting food, and finally, I end the day at a Spanish party in the crew bar — fun music, great vibes, and plenty of dancing!
