This is video from many different take offs with Legal Eagle XL ORV and Legal Eagle SR 7-1/2. Engines include the Verner 3V, BSV23 (Briggs and Stratton Vanguard 23) and the BSV35 (Briggs and Stratton Vanguard 35). I tried to keep each video section at approximately 38 seconds. Keep in mind the aircraft was at max. gross weight, a 275 pound pilot for all flights. A friend of mine has flow the Legal Eagle XL ORV with both the Verner 3V and the BSV23. He weights 160 pounds. His climb rate was twice what mine is and he can maintain level flight a considerable less RPM than I can.
