Or maybe it's about succumbing to lust. Nicky Youre lets his listeners figure that out as "Mile Away" swoops by at 100 mph, dispensing hook after hook. The SoCal singer has a knack for catchiness. Try to recall how many times you encountered his "Sunroof" before you totally fell for it - can't be more than four, tops. When those kind of writing skills are that prominent, they're also irrepressible. Check it: Youre was working at Dell computers and dabbling with songwriting when a manager he'd never met DM'd him with enough posi energy to have him give music a full-time try. His pop comes on like POP, what Ryan Seacrest has deemed a "bright and shiny" vibe. It's unmistakable in Youre's work, and his performances, too.
