Hervanta is a district in the southern part of Tampere . It is one of the largest and best-known suburbs in Finland . The landmarks of Hervanta are the massive apartment buildings rising from the cliffs, visible from afar, and the water tower . In its center is the central axis of public services designed by the architect couple Raili and Reima Pietilä . Tampere tram line 3 also runs through Hervanta .

Its center is home to the Duo shopping center . Hervanta is also home to the Tampere University campus and dozens of high-tech companies operating in the fields of mechanics, electronics, and software.
