Grand Buddha at Kamakura, Bamboo Forest, Trains & Monorail Enoshima

A full day out by Trains and Buses from Yokohama to Kamakura, walking around the Bamboo Forest at Hokokuji Temple then a short bus ride to visit the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine nearby.
Another highlight was the Kotoku-in Grand Buddha, the second tallest Buddha in Japan.
We had look inside the Buddha which only costs ¥50 each, we had looked forward to visiting this site for a long time and it didn't disappoint.
The Enoden Scenic Railway to Enoshima, the weather was overcast but it was still worth the ride, this train follows the coastline and connects to the Shonan Monorail which was another highlight of the day.
This is a hanging monorail and made sure we had seats in the front carriage so you get to see some great Driver Cab views at the end of the video.
This is the first of many videos we shot in Japan over our five week trip during October and November 2025, this was filmed on the 15th October 2025.
