On August 10, 2024, at approximately 12:51 PM, Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) assisted Cape Coral PD in a pursuit of a grey Hyundai Kona with Texas plates. The driver, wanted for felony battery and child abuse, was actively fleeing northbound on I-75 in Charlotte County. FHP took the lead at mile marker 160, with lights and sirens activated, but the suspect continued to evade authorities.
