Deep in West Virginia’s Appalachian Mountains, we tear down an old, pest-infested shed to start fresh on a dream workshop build. From mountains of mouse poop and piles of dead ladybugs to bad odors, rusted nails, rotten wood, and even asbestos siding, this demo has no shortage of ick factor.
This shed served as our well house, workshop, and moto shed, until we had a catastrophic flood when pipes burst last winter. At first we thought we'd try and remodel it, but once we started peeling back the layers, it was clear that it just wasn't worth saving. We then resigned ourselves to buying a pre-fab shed and would try to repurpose the piers. Unfortunately, those too were so rotten, we took it down to the earth to start fresh.
We stripped off the board and batten siding and used it on another outbuilding • DIY Dirt Bike Shed Renovation | Appalachia... and we plan to reuse the tin roof for another project down the road.
Starring: @nevadahardenduro with the brains, the braun, and the skills to make it all happen.
