New Bucharest Trolleybuses | Noile Troleibuze Bucureștene: Solaris Trollino 12 - 2024FEB24

The city of Bucharest has been renewed with new trolleybuses. These are the Trollino 12 Model from the Solaris Company (part of the Spanish CAF Group). As part of the renewal program of the trolleybus park, 100 pieces were purchased under a contract of 290 million lei without VAT, non-refundable money financed by the Environment Fund Agency. The first vehicles entered the route/tests in January, followed by others in February 2024. The deployment was not without incidents as a software problem regarding the voltage was found. Fortunately, this error was quickly resolved with an update.
The new trolleybuses will replace (according to official statements) the entire car park consisting of the old Astra Ikarus 415T trolleybuses.
REVIEW: The first impression is good. The joints from the used units (5410 and 5413) are quite ok, I didn't notice any unnecessary vibration or uninsulated sheet metal noise. Soundproofing is common. (The noise level produced by the electric motor is similar to that of the Irisbus), The seats are quite comfortable, but I prefer plastic seats. Over time the textiles will get dirty and filled with smells. (Those who also go with STV's VDL Berkhof Ambassadors know what I mean.) They need to be maintained and washed often, regularly and thoroughly unlike ergonomic plastic seats which are easier to sanitize. The main screen on the front seems a bit undersized to me especially in height. It's hard to see from the back of the trolleybus, especially if you're sitting on back seats where the view is blocked by the holding bars. The doors open quite quickly which is good, I never liked the snail speed of the Otokar Kent C buses for example. Shock absorbers quite ok. The center of gravity is well balanced and it was a good ride even when cornering at constant speed.
Let's wait and see if in a month or two how they will fare after the treatment provided by the "perfect" asphalt of Bucharest and the travelers eager to flaunt their lack of education and their names written in markers.

Orașul București s-a înnoit cu noi troleibuze. Acestea sunt Modelul Trollino 12 de la Firma Solaris (parte a grupului spaniol CAF). În cadrul programului de înnoire a parcului de troleibuze au fost achiziționate 100 de bucăți pe un contract de 290 milioane lei fără TVA, bani nerambursabili finanțați de Agenţia Fondului pentru Mediu. Primele vehicule au intrat pe traseu/teste în luna Ianuarie apoi au urmat altele în luna Februarie 2024. Punerea pe traseu nu a fost lipsită de incidente deoarece a fost constatată o problemă de soft privitoare la tensiunea citită vs. primită. Această eroare a fost rezolvată repede, din fericire.
Noile troleibuze vor înlocui (conform declarațiilor oficiale) tot parcul auto format din vechile troleibuze Astra Ikarus 415T.
REVIEW: Prima impresie este buna. Îmbinările de la unitățile folosite (5410 și 5413) sunt destul de ok, nu am observat vibrații inutile sau zgomot de tablă neizolată. Izolarea fonică este obișnuită. (Nivelul de zgomot produs de motorul electric este similar celui din Irisbus). Scaunele destul de comode însă prefer scaune de plastic. Cu timpul cele textile se vor murdări și umple de mirosuri. (Cine merge si cu Ambasadoarele VDL Berkhof ale STV știe la ce mă refer.) Trebuie întreținute și spălate des, regulat și profund, spre deosebire de scaunele din plastic ergonomic care sunt mai ușor de igienizat. Ecranul principal din față mi se pare puțin subdimensionat în special pe înălțime. E greu să vezi din spatele troleibuzului mai ales dacă stai pe scaune unde sunt și obturate de bare. Ușile se deschid destul de repede ceea ce e bine, niciodată nu mi-a plăcut viteza de melc de la Otokar Kent C, de exemplu. Amortizoarele destul de ok. Centrul de greutate e bine echilibrat și a fost o călătorie bună inclusiv la curbe luate la viteză constantă.
Aștept să văd după o lună sau două cum vor merge după tratamentul oferit de asfaltul „perfect” al Bucureștiului și al călătorilor dornici să-și etaleze lipsa de educație și numele scrise cu markere.
