This one started as a sketch on Syntakt written in an Airport and grew into a finished melodic tune. Influenced by artists I admire such as Stephan Bodzin, this one made me learn new techniques.
How to treat the raw synths from Syntakt and more importantly how to balance your mix. I considered mastering this track with someone else, but ended up doing it myself after discovering Izotope Tonal Balance Control - an amazing tool helping you visually adjust the mix.
I'm happy with the result - what you hear is a finished edited version based on a recorded live performance. I've corrected some human timing errors here and there, arranged and cleaned up everything, added fx, mixed and mastered the track.
It does sound different from the lawless version, however it is now a signed and released track. And I'm 100% happy with that as no matter how cool your lawless jam is, it's best future going forward is to be a signed release.
