幼い頃、心を込め、涙ながらに歌っていたこの歌の感動は、大人になっても少しも変わることがない。　それをギターに移してみたが、発表とともにたちまちのうちに世界中で演奏されるようになった。
The emotion of this song that I sang with all my heart and tears as a child has not changed one bit even as I have grown up. I tried to transfer it to the guitar, and as soon as it was released it was played all over the world.

この曲に√1 の記号が出てきますが、左手１の指の根元で押さえます。指先は浮かせるようにして。
In this song, you will see the √1 symbol, which you should press with the base of your left hand finger 1. Keep your fingertip floating.

√（ルート）とは、根本の意。　１とは1の指という意味で僕の楽譜には、しばしば現れます。
